Cookie Policy

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This page explains which ones Flipsta uses, and why. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

2. Essential cookies

These keep the Platform working and can't be switched off if you want to use Flipsta — we don't use them for advertising or tracking.

Sign-in session (set by our authentication provider, Supabase): keeps you signed in as you move around the Platform. Without it, you'd be asked to sign in again on every page.

flipsta_ref: if you sign up via someone's referral link, this holds the referral code for 10 minutes so the right person gets credited once you finish signing up. It expires automatically and isn't used for anything else.

3. Bot protection

When enabled, Flipsta uses Cloudflare Turnstile on the signup page to help tell real people apart from automated bots. If it's switched on, Cloudflare's widget may set its own cookie as part of that check — see Cloudflare's privacy policy for details. This isn't running on every visit — only where bot-protection is currently turned on.

4. Local storage

Our support chat widget remembers your conversation ID in your browser's local storage (not a cookie), so if you reload the page mid-conversation it can pick up where you left off. This stays on your device and isn't sent anywhere except back to Flipsta when you continue chatting.

5. What we don't use

Flipsta does not use any advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies — there's no Google Analytics, ad pixels, or similar on the Platform today.

6. Managing cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Since we only use essential cookies, blocking them may stop you from being able to sign in or complete a purchase.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if the cookies we use change. Material changes will be notified to users in advance of taking effect.
